Graphics are cutesy and the whole vibe is very positive and cool, so I strongly recommend it - but as I said, it might not be appealing to non-singers. perhaps, buy it and immediately try playing, because beginning puzzles don't require any pitch at all, just sounds and timing.Īside singing, the platforming part is super simple, playable with one hand. I felt that the pitch bars are wide enough to allow imperfect pitch for a full semitone, both sharp and flat - yet, she couldn't do it, and grew frustrated after several tries. The bridge-building puzzles, she'd solve by randomly making higher or lower pitched sounds, until she'd get the correct thing going.Īt one point, you come to a larger puzzle where an NPC is teaching you to sing a short 4 bar tune, comprised of no more than 10 notes. However - I played it with my girlfriend who isn't really tonedeaf, but isn't a singer - and she had issues with nearly every puzzle that involved a pitch. Requirements that game asks me to do are simple, with exception of a certain puzzle where you have to figure out a tune in order to create a bridge. I'm giving it a thumbs up, but its a tentative one: I am a trained, experienced classic singer - who then turned to death metal.
